The Dynablast is a lightweight running shoe that still provides ample support for longer runs.I put about 25 miles per week on these shoes for a total of about 400 miles, and I found them to be great for shorter speedwork because of their minimalistic mesh upper reduces weight and forms well to your foot. Additionally, I thought they were awesome for longer (>10 miles) runs because the thick and comfy sole cushions your foot strike---even as the miles increase.I've ran in several other Asics models and additional brands of shoes, and what I've found is that many of them provide too much cushion in the upper (especially around the opening of the shoe where the ankle is located). The issue with those designs is that when you sweat, the materials just soak up the moisture, and you wind up with cinder blocks strapped to your feet. These shoes dry quickly, and even when they retain moisture, there is very little material to weigh your feet down.However, some runners may find that this minimalistic approach to the upper causes stability or comfort issues. If you need to have a lot of comfiness around the ankle or along the top of your foot, you may not find it with these shoes.But if you're looking for a versatile running shoe that can support longer miles one day and still feel super fast for speedwork the next day---and look GREAT doing both!---then these are the shoes for you!Awesome shoes, super comfortable when running, after 1 whole year of use they are in great shape, I run like 30KM per week so do the math they are almost new after 12 months. super recomend.Truly comfortable to walk around town inI love this shoe! The Flyte Foam is really good and the sole rubber is holding up great 100 miles in! Fit was spot on for me. Laced up fit is also great; no heel slip and no weird rub spots.The sole has what I think are unreal cushioning and rebound characteristics.I love these shoes for short and medium distance runs. Hell, I even use them for long distance runs. I also use them for some tempo runs occasionally. I don't use these for a lot of faster tempo days, or speed work. The spring to them is great and the weight of the shoes is fine in my opinion, so those are not the reasons for me. The reason I don't use them for speed work is the softness under those types of loads. For me at speed, a lot of ankle stability goes right out of the window in this shoe. Nothing like the Nimbus under the same conditions in my experience.If you are a runner who is new, or has stability issues with your foot strike, either look at the Nimbus or move on until you're ready. I'm not one to talk people out of a product that I so overwhelmingly recommend but this shoe at times can feel like running on a bed or couch to me (I weight approx. 160 lbs). However, I love it. There is a ton of spring back with the cushion and I am a forefoot striker. The cushioning by no means feels dead. In fact it's my favorite part, but I can see how if a person didn't have great stability in their gate then they may provoke an injury. Especially at a 10mm stack height.The Nova Blast are a tool for the tool box. If you need the tool, great. If the tool is applicable, great. If it's the wrong tool, do yourself a favor and keep moving...In this area of neutral cushion shoes I also use the Nimbus, the Cumulus, and the GEL-Quantum Infinity. All great with different feel and purposes.Enjoy your run! The Nova Blast are a great shoe.These are great men's shoes that we order for my very tall daughter who has narrow feet. They fit her perfectly. She's a runner and likes the cushion these shoes provide. She has two pairs and will likely get more in a few months.Good looking, very comfortable shoes, if you like a softer more "cushioned" feel. reminds me of a cross between the Cumulus and Quantum 360 in terms of support. I mostly wear them at work and are comfortable to be on my feet all day. Phenomenal cushion & support, really comfortable for walking, middle distance too.Good shoes, love the bounce they have. My only complaint is my foot feels to wobbly side to sidethis shoe fit very good and the material was great but the trending wasen't so good on this one at 60miles walked a week at work the tread only lasted 9 months before flattening out and becoming slickThese were my first high stack height trainers. I've now put 400 miles on them with everything from 5k to 20 mile runs. When you put them on they feel instantly very bouncy and push you forward just a little. They feel fast. They are lightweight and have good ventilation without any problems in the Summer heat. The laces are excellent and have never come loose on any run. I wear size 10 on most shoes and bought a 10.5 (Euro 46) in these which fits perfectly; I have never had the slightest foot or toe pain since running with them.They do, however, feel a little unstable in the corners with all that height and bounce until you get used to them. But after a 100 miles or so, that feeling goes or your ankle gets stronger ;)They have been so good that after 400 miles, i've just ordered a second pair for when these wear out. That would perhaps be my only complaint; after around 400 miles, the top and bottom of the sole is wearing and I suspect 500 miles will be the limit. This is running mostly on tarmac. Runners generally expect about 500 miles but I wonder how much of that is actually engineered into the shoes to purposely fail around that time. Suspicious.But great running shoes, totally recommended.These are my favourite daily trainer. Still ha e a previous pair in rotation must have 1000+ miles on them. Very bouncy, plenty of room in the toebox. Great for long runs at up to about marathon pace. Feel a bit bulky for speedwork or short fast races.great stylinggreat bouncy feelBut the fit is a size too big ( as compared to my other four pairs of Asics), and as such my foot is completely unstable and unable to use these things.Three runs in and have consigned them to the cupboard for life.DisappointedVery light trainer. i have a pair of hoka one carbon x which are technically lighter by near 40grams than this trainer but this trainer feels lighter on the foot, i am running faster in this trainer as well. only thing i would say is there seems to be a bit of a gap bewtween the ankle and the mouth of the trainer so it can feel like your running unsafely eg. you could fall over if you have weakish ankles, bar that a great trainerThese felt like counterfeits to me or a bad batch. This was my third pair as I do a lot of running and had way less cushioning than my other novablasts. I sent these back and ordered from a proper running shop and there perfect. I have mentioned it to amazon so hopefully they will investigate.
